Sickness & Health

I just realized anew last night that whenever there is a sickness, there is a remedy.

I was starting to get the sniffles and sneezing, blowing my nose. It was laaattteee at night and I needed to get up early to wake up and get my grandma ready for all the visits she would be having from her physical therapist, occupational therapist, and nurse the next day! I knew I did not want to get sick.

I knew I hadn't really been guarding my health that much, though I wanted to, kept on falling and feeling bad about it or ignoring it.  So what was I to do?

I went and took a hot and cold shower three times. Hot water about 3 minutes or until you are nice and warm and toasty and then Cold water about 30 seconds or more until you feel like all tingly all over and then repeat that 3 times.  This is something natural that God has made possible for us to have when we are sick. I then went straight to my room and prayed read the Bible and then went to sleep. It is important to rest immediately after doing a hot and cold shower. This morning I woke up with no problems at all!  There were other ones that came up, lol, but the point I wanted to share was this:

When I am sick, God wants me to feel better.  He doesn't like that I don't feel good and wants to help me.  Same thing when I do or think or feel something wrong, that isn't according to Him, that hurts Him. He still loves and wants to help.

"Surely He has bourne our griefs and carried our sorrows, yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted....All we like sheep have gone astray [hard to admit that sometimes!], we have turned, every one, to his own way; and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all." Isaiah 53:4 and 6
